Semi-Annual Report
April 2022
Offering practical help and hope – before, during, and after – is what the Holmes County Pregnancy and Family Center is about.
We provide options counseling for untimely pregnancies whereby we empower women to make informed choices based on objective facts and Biblical truth. We also provide free pregnancy tests and referrals for ultrasound.
By participating in class, parents and caregivers learn skills they can immediately apply ranging from all things baby, to applying for a job, to healthy relationships. Most importantly, we endeavor to disciple our clients. Bible classes are relevant to issues prevalent to all women. Biblical counseling shows how the Bible applies to her individual needs; her trauma, her marriage, her journey, her healing.
From January through March, we have served 12 clients. We have had twenty Bible classes or counseling sessions, seven parenting sessions, and three life skill classes.
What does the client of the Pregnancy & Family Center look like? The following are depictions of real clients, either current or recent:
pregnancy always a crisis. Hence, the Holmes County Pregnancy & Family Center offers a Biblically sound spectrum of services; particularly Biblical counseling – as an extension of you – the Church.
How can the Church enhance your involvement or capitalize on your investment?
I currently have a project requiring some graphic design/publishing skills to reach expectant mothers in our community; a booklet included in a gift bag to be given expectant mothers by their health care providers.
In closing, I would like to share (attached) two letters offered by our clients that reflect different aspects of our ministry.

When my mother-in-law first told me about the Holmes County Pregnancy and Family Center, I did not know what to expect. However, I am so happy that she told me about it. I am expecting my first child in January 2022 and I did not feel prepared at all. Since going to the Holmes County Pregnancy and Family Center, my knowledge has greatly increased to help me be the best mother I can be. I have better expectations of motherhood. I look forward to continue taking classes up until I give birth and even after I give birth to better prepare me for the years ahead of motherhood and raising my children.
Dear Pregnancy Center,
Thank you for ever coming to my church to speak to us about the Pregnancy and Family Center in Bonifay. Many of us were surprised, yet impressed with what the Center offers in our community. This program is much needed. Not only for young people, but us seniors as well. Christians have problems too!
[The director] gave sound advice to all of us who lead in the church and answered many questions. Cautiously, one person after another spoke up about their families or themselves.
To put it plainly, I serve in my church as a deaconess, and I have learned that people can be cruel, and have unkind tongues, so they don’t feel safe sharing with people in the church.
Kristin addressed the church family with wisdom and humility. After hearing…of the many classes the Center offers, I very carefully and prayerfully decided to take a class. It was hard to go through the door. I was filled with fear. Now I wonder why I waited so long. I’m learning that every lesson is necessary. I have attended eight classes, and I’m still fighting a few battles, or the devil’s lies.
The classes keep me very accountable, and I worship God with every class because each lesson is amazing. I have a new goal. Now I tell women how I have beautiful peace, and even though I’m a leader, I’ve learned to be a servant…who knows the value of a soul.
Yours in Christ,
A Servant
